GRAND PRIMO
Brother
Michael John Walker ROH  
High Wycombe

Bro. Michael John Walker ROH. was Initiated into the Order on the 7th January 1960 in the Et Gloria Lodge 5872 in Singapore. His early life or a he himself describes it "a long time ago" he served in the Royal Air Force. During this time he spent much of his 5 years in the service abroad. He is proud to have been awarded the General Service Medal with Bar "Malaya". His Buffalo career continued on returning to the UK and he was inducted to the Second Degree in 1966, Installed to the Third Degree in 1970 and Exalted to the Fourth Degree in 1975. All these honours were taken in the St. Johns Lodge in High Wycombe.  At Provincial Grand Lodge he has served twice as PGP in 1978 and again in 1993. He served as President of the Examining Council in 1972 and twice as President of the Knights Chapter in 1977 and 2000. Bro. Mick was the first PGP of the Chippenham Province in 1998. At Grand Lodge Bro. Mick served as Grand Registrar in 1984 and is renowned as a highly knowledgeable expert on the History of the Order. Bro. Mick has always been highly involved in Buffaloism and has been central in the production of the Museum Collection of books. He has compiled and edited many of these books. There are many other contributions Mick has given the Order over many years. Mick has gone on to serve on the Rules Revision Committee of the 2000 Gibraltar Convention. After retiring in 2002 Bro. Mick was elected to serve on the Grand Lodge Management Committee, a task he brought his boundless enthusiasm to and has been at the forefront of many projects born out of "The Way Forward". Grand Lodge in December overwhelmingly elected Mick to serve as Deputy Grand Primo. Over many years now Bro. Mick has had the support of his wife Ann, almost as well known on the Grand Lodge Circuit she has been seen supporting Mick in many areas of the country and abroad.

DEPUTY GRAND PRIMO
Brother David Moses ROH
Dudley

Brother Dave was initiated in October 1971 in the Bridgewater Lodge in Warwickshire. He has taken all his degrees in his Mother Lodge. When the Dudley Provincial Grand Lodge was born and his lodge became under their control Brother Dave has become a leading light in the Province and served as Provincial Grand Primo in 1988. Never one to allow the grass to grow under his feet Dave is also very active with the Midland Counties Social Committee and has held the Presidency of the Committee. Brother Dave has and still supports the Knights Chapter. He is also very active with the Warwickshire ROH Assembly. Brother Dave has been a tireless worker for the Order and was rewarded in 1999 when he was elected to the office of Grand Tyler. He had an enormously successful year travelling the length and breadth of the country supporting Brother Arvind Patel. Following on from that success Brother Dave joined the Grand Lodge Management Committee where his love and passion for our Order came to the forefront. Brother Dave gave three splendid years at committee and somehow managed to keep up with all his other commitments. The Deputy Grand Primo has fully committed to supporting the Grand Primo in this very busy year and is a staunch supporter of the Grand Primo Appeal for the Childrens Liver Desease Foundation.  The Dudley Provincial Grand Lodge can be very proud to have such a Brother. Brother Dave is supported all the way by his partner Sue. Together they have travelled far and wide and can often be seen at more than one function a weekend. Brother Dave is an Engineer by trade. He is also a very accomplished Folk Singer. He also confesses to being a Wolves Supporter Whether at home or aboard Brother Dave Moses is a fine ambassador for the Order and a great example to our younger Brethren who see a man of principles and a great role model.

 

GRAND CHAMBERLAIN
Brother John Joseph Martindale ROH.

Dudley

Brother J J  is a Past Provincial Grand Primo of Both Worcestershire (1993) and Dudley and District (2004) Provinces. Initiated in July 1973 in Mid Avon Province J J has served the Order well at many levels. As well as a glittering record at Province level he has served in both Knights Chapter and ROH Assembly. He is also currently Provincial Grand Secretary of Dudley & District. He is heavily involved in planning for Grand Lodge 2007 which is in Dudley. J J is retired. He served his country between 1963 and 1977 in the RAOB as an NCO and travelled extensively. in 1972 he received the UN Medal Cyprus. In what ever time he gets to himself he loves reading, watching cricket and football.

J J will be invested at the Cornbow Hall in Halesowen 24th June 2006.

GRAND TYLER
Brother John Coast ROH.

Canterbury and District

Brother John is a Past Provincial Grand Primo (1999) of the Canterbury and District Province.  John was initiated in January 1972 in the Epping Forest Province, though he took all his degrees in the Vimy Lodge 5395 of the Canterbury Province. He has also served his Province as a PGL Trustee and as Provincial Grand Secretary. He is a driving force behind organising Grand Lodge this year in Margate. He has been President of Examining Council (1998), Knights Chapter (1997) and ROH Assembly (2004).

John has served in the Royal Military Police and is a retired AA Inspector of Road Services. John lists among his interests Travel, Computing and Football. He confesses to being a Spurs fan.

 

John will be invested at The Winter Gardens in Margate on 10th June 2006.

GRAND CONSTABLE
Brother Robert Vernon Poat KOM.

Northumberland & North East Durham.

Brother Rob KOM has served as Provincial Grand Primo of Northumberland & North East Durham Province in 2002. He also served as President of the Examining Council in 2004. Initiated in the West Cornwall Province Rob moved to Newcastle where he is a Company Director. His company specialises in Events Organisation. He drew upon his wealth of knowledge to assist several Grand Primos with their Charity Appeals. Rob brings an huge amount of enthusiasm to every task he undertakes which makes him a formidable talent. Rob lists among his hobbies and interests Music, Sport, Travelling and Entertaining, however his major interest is buffing.

Brother Rob will be invested at the Gateshead Civic Centre, Tyne & Wear on 8th April 2006.

GRAND REGISTRAR
Brother
Nicholas Miller ROH.

Exeter.

Brother Nicholas ROH is currently the Deputy Provincial Grad Primo of the Exeter Province. He has served both Exeter and South Pembrokeshire Province in many capacities.

Many brethren will recognise Nick for his many exploits on behalf of the Weston Super Mare Funday. Brother Nick has been ever present for a number of years now and is a terrific organiser. There is no doubt that Brother Nick has helped to make this annual event the successes it is. Brother Nick was initiated in October 1975 in South Pembrokeshire where he took all of his Degrees. Brother Nick has his own business as a Plumbing & Heating Engineer, being Corgi Registered.

Brother Nick will be invested at the Tiverton Hotel , Blundells Road, Tiverton EX16 4DB on 22nd April 2006.

 

GRAND ALDERMAN of JUNIPER
Brother David Hardy ROH.

West Hertfordshire.

Brother Dave has served the West Hertfordshire Province as Provincial Grand Primo in 1988. He has also served as President of the Examining Council, Knights Chapter and ROH Assembly. He is also the Provincial Grand Secretary. Renowned as a formidable debater he has made his mark at Grand Lodge.  Brother David has retired from the Fire Service.

Brother Dave is certainly planning for the future of the Order. He has two sons that are now Knights of Merit with one son very active at Grand Lodge showing all the promise of Brother Dave himself.

 

Brother Dave will be invested on the at 25th March at Berkhansted Town Hall

 

GRAND ALDERMAN of BENEVOLENCE
Brother
Terence Moore Robinson  ROH.

Kettering and District.

Brother Terence has served as Provincial Grand Primo of the Kettering and District Province in 1999. He is a Trustee of the Province and has served as President of Examining Council (2001), Knights Chapter (2001) and is currently ROH Assembly President (2006). Brother Terry was initiated in the New Pytchley Lodge 8514 in Kettering 20th June 1958. He received all his degrees in the Lodge. Brother Terry enjoys Music and Singing and is an avid collector of Beswick Animals. Brother Terry served in the Army for six months. Brother Terry is retired, but continues as a driver for Elderly and Sick people in a voluntary capacity.

Brother Terry will be invested on the 20th May at a venue to be announced.

 

GRAND MINSTREL
Brother Robert Ian Charlton ROH.

Chesterfield and Mansfield.

Brother Robert has served Chesterfield and Mansfield Provincial Grand Lodge as Provincial Grand Primo in 1999, He has also served as President of the Examining Council, Knights Chapter and ROH Assembly. He is also currently the Provincial Grand Secretary. Brother Les was initiated in the Manu Lodge 6356 on 10th April 1983 where he took his 2nd and 3rd degrees his 4th was has taken in the Prospect Lodge 3810. Brother Robert is retired Engineer and keeps very busy, with his RAOB duties. His one and only hobby is Buffing.

Brother Robert’s will be invested at the Festival Hall in Kirkby in Ashfield on the 29th April 2006

GRAND WAITER
Brother
Leslie Frederick Sharpe ROH.

Hull and District.

Brother Leslie has served Hull and District Provincial Grand Lodge as Provincial Grand Primo in 2000. In 2002 he served as President of the Examining Council. He is also currently a Trustee of the Province. Brother Les was initiated in the Phoenix Lodge 9682 on 28th August 1994 where he has taken all his degrees. Brother Les is retired but, keeps very busy, not just with his RAOB duties, he is a Parish Councillor in Keyingham. He is also very active as Show Secretary for the Medon Chrysanthemums Society, a position he has held for 18 years. He often judges at local Flower Shows. His hobbies are travel, gardening, exhibiting and showing Chrysanthemums and reading.

Brother Les will be invested at the Guildhall in Kingston Upon Hull on 15th July 2006.
